My recuiter told me about christmas leave and now i'm all excited. only because i have a baby and this would be her first christmas. plus my brithday is on christmas.
i leave for fort leonard wood sometime in november. but i have to get my GED through the GED assitance program. so i leave for fort jackson oct. 1st. here's my questions. 1. would i get to leave for christmas. 2. do i have to pay to get home. 3. if i stay do i get paid for staying. and finally i hear that some people go for only a couple of days because they don't want to be in the whole. i assuming thats because of planes tickets but i could be wrong. is there something else i have to pay for. i would love to come home to see my family and spend christmas together. don't plan on eating much. don't want all that hard work at BCT to go to waste. but at these questions has my head spinning. please respone ASAP. leaving in two weeks. please help. -soon to be MP! This question has already been addressed but i will address it once more for you.
During Christmas the Army has Exodus. It usually runs a couple days before the holidays to the day or two after the holiday period depending on the command. You can go home as long as your commander authorizes you to You will pay for the trip home as it is your choice. You get paid anyways whether you go home or stay. If you stay or cut it short, plan on being on details while you are back. When I was a DS at FLW(MP) Most of our Soldiers went home, but those that did stay were put in a Company that babysat them and put them to work. |
