went to meps today passed all of my testes except my vision i failed the book test and the light test but i cud determine green and red but they still failed me ... my recruiter called in a sgt major who chewed out some *** in front of me n they sent in a request for waiver....do u think i will get it waiverd ? and wut other mos can i get being colorblind ?

Not the Spelling Test.

i am also color blind but i passed all the test because they renamed it color dumb
(not being able to distinquishing colors that are close ie...dark blue and black or light blue and green)

I had the exact same thing happen to me at MEPS. She took my finger and traced the numbers, covered parts for me to interpret everything. I even would take 3 times guessing several of the numbers before hitting the right one. She said 4 would fail me. I don't think I got a single one right without her guiding me. I automatically got anything orange or purple wrong - or maybe they were red and blue. She put 2 wrong so I passed and her last comment to me was "what ever you do, make sure you have someone check your clothes before you walk out of the house each day." I said "I passed?" and she said I was "color deficient" not color blind. So I wonder what it takes to be considered color blind.

Ok a serious question in this subject, spelling aside.
I went today and I failed the plates, of course I knew I was colorblind. I found this out the last time I entered the Army. Then they gave me a Lantern tes which I failed also. Now it also said I failed the Red/Green test which I passed before. Before, however I did not take the Lantern test. Is there still a way to get a waver for the MP's. All other tests are fine. My ASVAB scores are very high and I have a college degree along with nearly 10 years as a civilian cop.
Any chance there???
