I joined the Army last Friday with the MOS 31E. And that was the MOS I wanted, 31B was not available.
I have some questions. What is the mos like for women, have much different is it than for the men? What are the chances of getting stationed overseas; what is the best duty station overseas, Germany or Korea? In the states, what is the best duty stations?
In the future in my career as an 31E, will there ever be a chance to cross-train (correct me if I'm wrong) as 31B?
thanks.

I am a 31E. the only things different for women then men is that we can't physically search the male inmates. Other than that we do the same things as the males. I'm stationed at the USDB Ft. Leavenworth. This is the only max security facility so as far as I'm concerned it is the best place for us. The chances of getting stationed overseas are good but mostly to Cuba. It seems like Germany is hard to get unless you get it on your first assignment.
As far as re-classing to 31B, it will probably be tough since we are always short handed but you may be able to get it as a re-enlistment option at some point.
