MPBOLC soon and was curious about the lodging for the officer students there? Is it Army lodging with a roomate? Barracks style? Or our own room? Thanks!
You going to Fr. Leonardwood? If you stay in the barracks close to the schoolhouse you will have your own room but share a bathroom and kitchen. If you are in the older quarters you will have your own room and bathroom.
Yes I am going to Ft. Leonard Wood. Thanks for the info! Do you happen to know the policy of having your spouse stay with you? I'm not PCS'ing, so I doubt its possible, but wondered anyways.
I am heading out there also. How easy is it to bring your family and have them stay off post somewhere for the duration. Are there any cities near by where I could find temporary housing for my family? Do you have to live in the barracks? Thanks for the help!
I am there now...you live in Army lodging alone, similar to a hotel room with a kitchenette and bathroom. You can bring your family and live in a larger Army lodging room, but you will no longer receive BAH while here. Otherwise, your spouse can visit for up to 30 days for $5 a day. St. Robert is the "city" outside the gate, its really small, I doubt you'd be able to find much close.
It is "12" weeks long--10 of instruction and two half weeks for inprocessing and outprocessing. You can bring a spouse for up to 30 days if you pay Army Lodging an amended daily rate ($5 a day extra). It is not a PCS move, but instead TDY, so spouses are not officially authorized.
