Good day mates. I just got back from the states, and the thing I miss most, about living here in Venezuela is "Fajitas". I'm talking about Southwest Texas style. I just came back from Miami, and I was so tempted to smugle some it, it wasn't even funny. I didn't want to take any chances, so I didn't. I believe it's beef skirt. I've googled it, and it is correct. I can't for the life of me find it here. Does anyone know the spanish translation for it. Thanks.

Mario

Skirt steak is the most common name. I've found it in every region. If you're shopping in a Hispanic market, try looking for: carne de falda or falda residual.

You can make some really tasty fajitas using sirloin tips sliced real thin.

Try using flank steak also. Sliced at a angle and thin its the next best thing.
