Since the HS' wanted one, I thought we should have one to. Since their's got shot down, not sure what chance we have. Oh well. Violin

those pins are a joke, what would we have one for FSO? every FS e5 and above would have one. The only one that we have is the good old fashion cuttermans pin

The cutterman pin is sufficient enough for our rating. However, just for giggles, I vote for a crossed knife and whisk embedded on a Mae West.

I'm not needy. Heck, I'm still tickled we got rid of the skin tight white Saturday Night Fever trousers. Word to the wise, don't ever wear mint green leopard print bikini's under those things.

lol, I like that. I think we should add a #10 can with "recall" written on it as well.

I say a sharpen steel crossed with a key encircled for FSO positions. (Kinda like when someone has a command pin, you wear it the same)Big Grin

"How bout a nice pewter bowl of spaghetti?
-Huh? Eek
"How about an apron with a stain on it?" Haha..funny, not. Sleeping
"crossed sharpening steel and ladel?"
Makes sense....how? Roll Eyes
Now a crossed Chefs knife and sharpening steel would be cool.
Cool

Proud to say I'll be getting my permanent cutterman's pin this fall! It's definitely something that too many cooks have too little interest in.

I have nearly 12 years of seatime and looking forward to my next cutter. The problem isn't with the older FS's going to sea, it seems like the younger ones only want 1 tour and then try to stay on land for 2-3 consecative tours.

The funny thing about those guys that stay on land forever is that they tell the best salty sea stories.
