I visted my favorite tv chef last wednesday ..she was as expected booked up..but her brothers place just west of tybee island was,nt and they have some of her reciepes there too...i had paula's crab chowder at bubba's and a bubba burger ..xo had the chicken sandwich..and the a seafood and cheese dip with chips.
the food was great..oh and i stopped by the galley at station tybee and said hi and saw the fs's there...well the 3rd anyways the 1st was out...don,t know why or if i should being posting this here..but i did..so there.
if you get a chance to see paula's party on tv it is filmed at bubba's on fridays...and in the backyard of the place is a beautiful setting...i recommend bubba's and tybee island...but not savahanna it's just too..buzy
how is this restaurant. Paula is not my favorite, but her style is old school, so I respect her. If I ever make down south, I would maybe like to go...depending if it was worth the drive.
It's all good. I was just laughing because I would've liked to have met the one and only spacecowboy.
Derek- I'm about to enjoy some leave.
146- The appeal of the restaurant is star driven now. Unless Paula is there, the service has gone downhill. It's more of a cattle drive, get in and get out, taste your food somewhere else kind of operation.
The few times I've eaten there I liked the food but it you could sense the urgency of getting finished as soon as possible. If you get to Savannah, let me know and I'll point you towards some eateries that will be far more worth the time.
I would have liked to have met you too tom...maybe someday..i am thinking i would like to buy a ballcap or have one made at somewhere that says.. www.fredsplace.org and wear it coastguard days or around..kinda of icebreaker for people ..you may have spoke to on the web..
H opefully i would,nt meet someone i pissed off...
