If you are an "A" school graduate I would suggest trying to swap orders with a classmate but that is hard to do unless you have a very good reason.

If your not then you can have your current command talk to the detailer.

Considering your trying to do a swap before you even report to the unit I assume you have a good reason. If it's a matter of you just not liking the area or the cutter I would reconsider going this route. You may find that you like it once your settled in. You also run the risk of swapping into a worse situation than the one you perceive your in.

this was my first unit in the coast guard, I also struck fs there. Port Angeles was great. its been 12 years but you may like it. I find my self wishing to go back there. And Im a new yorker! Best part to this service is travel, if the reason you don't want to go is because of its location you would be missing an awsome area.

if you have a legitimate reason contact your Human Resource office and tell them your story BUt if it is because you dont want to go there SUCK IT UP your in the military, you signed a contract for WORLD WIDE ASSIGNMENT. I didnt want the CGC RELIANCE out of "A" school but when i got there I loved it!Great crew and advanced 2 paygrades. I would think before you post things like that on freds place because your FS1 or FSC could read this forum.
