I did not want to get the Coffee break discussion already in progress off topic, so I started a new one.
I am a fan of providing the "snacky cakes" the crew. Always had fun with it. It can and does go way overboard sometimes with crew expectations, but it is easy to manage that with communication.
That being said, for the units that are all BAS, how are you charging for those coffee breaks? if you are only charging 4 lunches a month and setting out what amounts to a mid rats meal every day, you are obligated to charge as such.
For units that have mostly SIK, are you sacrificing meals for the mega coffee break? Are you charging your wardroom an appropriate charge for them?
There are some sweeping changes coming to the 82 fund in the not to distant future, and DFAM makes everything you do transparent. Snacky Cake away, but make sure that your crew knows that coffee break is not free.
