Does anyone know for sure whether AET is still on the open rate list? The last messege I have seen was in December, but I have seen stuff lately which shows that it may not be quite as critical.
I was an AET3 on active duty for 4 years, left in Sept. 2004, and am now looking to go back active now that I am done with school, and have twins on the way in July. Any info would be great.
The AVT/AET's had it good for many years, but things are starting to slow down. I recommend that you hurry up, but keep in mind that the "gravy train" is no longer and you will have to study for advancment. Take what I say with a grain of salt....lol I'm just a bitter AMT
From the RFMC...yes AET3 is still on the ORL. You can contact me directly (karl.r.stroman@uscg.mil) or through a recruiter but either way I will need to get your resume...units, quals, and what have you been doing since you got out.
