When using a fuel quantity test set there are settings for HIZ and LOZ. What do these letters stand for?

How is the little green switch in the tail of an HH-65 activated? What other component does it talk to?

Would it be within the slip indicator?

I'm going to have to go with the search and rescue pigeon, However I do believe the fluid in the slip indicator is edible as well. So I'll also go with Chuck. How about it Bluesteel are we correct?

Hey, where did everyone go. I didn't mean to scare everybody off. The little green microswitch is activated at full right rudder and is only passing data to the Flight Data Recorder. It tells if there is loss of rudder control during an incident. Please come back I was enjoying the game.

Sorry, not much H65 knowledge here. Frown

Let's try a generic question...

Your hanger is loaned to some Navy folks. When you get it back, your C130 will not accept power from the hangar GPU. Much head scratching ensues. Out of the cord, phase voltage checks good, Phase to phase voltage looks good. The cord is brand new, so you know the plug is in good shape.
What could be wrong and what is a quick fix for it?

Hint: You need one tester and it is probably very dusty. Confused

As the Goddess Judy used to say, "it can happen!"

Not being a Herk Jerk.....I would guess the fix is you need to go back and reset the GPU???? Did the Navy bubbas adjust the output to match their model of Herc? Curse

I think the answer is in the question, will have to look at GPU in hanger when I get to work.

Time Domain Refectometer. Great for troubleshooting RF coax and Fuel Quantity wiring.

Hint: the dusty tester has three leads.

As Michael Jackson would sing, "it's easy as ABC"

Ding Ding Ding! Applause

We have a winner!

Seems the equipment they had used a reverse phase rotation, CBA vs normal ABC.

Bonus Points: What is a quick fix for that?

Beer

PS Not Cheating: all's fair in love, war, and troubleshooting

That was one of them, specificlly the pea in the indicator. The other is the sugar in the current limiters in the AC power system.
H3s had them in the back left cabin AC junction box.
