Yup, I got the same email followed by a phone call. Goes something like this:
quote:
Based on the information that EPM-2 has received, you will place above the
cut for advancement to MK1 from the Nov 2007 SWE. A message establishing
the cut will be released early next week. Your upcoming advancement is
based on a service need to fill MK1 vacancies (Ch 4.C.3.a PERSMAN).
Consequently, you will be transferring this assignment season.

Listed below are the current MK1 positions that need to be filled. You must
return this ENTIRE via email, in order of preference, no later than 0800
April 9th, 2008 (Wednesday). I will be TDY starting next week, send the
list to CWO John Roberts with a CC to me on its return. Positions requiring
special endorsements or screenings are marked with an asterisk and noted at
the bottom. If you do not meet the eligibility requirements for the noted
(*) positions, or for overseas assignments, place those positions last on
your list.

Your returned list may include a comment section relevant to your career
goals. You should also include any extenuating information relevant to a
future assignment (i.e. enrolled in special needs, color blind, etc.).

We anticipate the issuance of orders to allow for 90 days if reporting to an
INCONUS assignment and 120 days for OCONUS.

since everyone seems to know about the MK cut, can anyone hook a brother up and let me know the YN2 cut? This is killing me, I hope Monday morning when I return from leave the message is in CGMS waiting for us all! (as always, not holding my breath by any means, but it would make for a nice return to work!)

I'm sitting at #34. Good to know there's a light at the end of the tunnel and cuts will come out before the May SWE. Good luck to all.

Hey, i posted this in the MK forum but I will post it here too in case you didnt know. I was digging around the EPM-2 website and came across a link to PSC Advancements and Evaluations. That site contained a Winter 07 Advancement Newsletter that said there were so many substitute tests, which i guess means people were TDY or on leave when the SWE was given and they were allowed to take a substitute test. It said that a higher then normal amount of substitute tests was the reason for the cuts taking so long. You guys might already know all this and Im just late to the party (as usual.. lol) but I didnt see anyone talking about it and wanted to throw it out there. At least we know why now, right? Smile Oh well, that may or may not have made anyone feel better but I tried!!
