All the info your looking for is on the EPM advancement website. They go back I think 4 tests so you can get a general idea. If you have access to a computer with CG intranet, your all set.

there has gotta be a little downtime in between the cuts and the finalizing of the shopping list on 28SEP.

I'm going to place my wager on 7SEP.

but nobody really knows.

I think 7Sep sounds about right, one thing to consider is I think there might be new billets next year, so maybe they are taking that into consideration too?

Based upon prior years, the May 07 cuts will not be released until the OIC Slate msg hits the board. That happened on 01SEP last year, and I know that they are in the process of doing the OIC slates right now.

My guesses:
24 or 31Aug: OIC Slate msg
07Sep: May07 SWE Cuts
14Sep: Anticipated XPO vacancies for AY08

anyone want to take a wager?

Seth,

The word I heard out of Ballston for the cuts is 10SEP07. The odd thing is the 10th is a Monday.

The AO roadshow guy who recently visited had not heard this specific date, but confirmed that they are being told it is "late" this year.

A. CGPC LTR 1430 OF 29 JUN 07 (MAY 07 SWE)
1. ENLISTED CUTOFFS ARE DESIGNED FOR PLANNING AND GUARANTEE
ADVANCEMENTS TO THOSE MEMBERS AT/ABOVE THE CUTOFF, BASED ON
PROJECTED VACANCIES DURING A SPECIFIC PERIOD OF ELIGIBILITY.

THE CYCLE, ARE CARRIED OVER TO THE NEXT SWE ELIGIBILITY LIST.
2. PERSONNEL ARE REMINDED THAT THE CO'S RECOMMENDATION FOR
ADVANCEMENT MUST BE MAINTAINED FOR THE PERIOD FROM RECOMMENDATION
TO ADVANCEMENT. PERSONNEL FAILING TO MAINTAIN THE CO'S
RECOMMENDATION FOR THIS PERIOD SHALL BE INVALIDATED FROM THE SWE(S)
THEY PARTICIPATED. PERSONNEL WHO HAVE BEEN INVALIDATED MUST BE
RECOMMENDED AND QUALIFY AGAIN THROUGH A NEW SWE COMPETITION.
3. ALL RATINGS/PAY GRADES IDENTIFIED IN REF B ARE LISTED. IN
SITUATIONS WHERE THE SWE LIST OF CANDIDATES HAS ALREADY BEEN
CLEARED, "EXHAUSTED" IS SHOWN FOR THE NAME. IN SITUATIONS WHERE
THE SWE HAS BEEN WAIVED AND A SUPPLEMENTAL LIST IS BEING
MAINTAINED, "SUP LIST" IS SHOWN FOR THE NAME.

ADVANCEMENT IS NO LONGER INDICATED. THE RANK ORDER NUMBER CAN BE
FOUND AT THE PERSONNEL SERVICE CENTER'S WEB SITE
HTTP://CGWEB.PSC.USCG.MIL/ADV.HTM.

ARE GUARANTEED ADVANCEMENT IF THEY REMAIN ELIGIBLE. HOWEVER, THESE
PERSONNEL ARE CONSIDERED NOT ELIGIBLE FOR FURTHER SWE COMPETITION
UNTIL THEY ADVANCE OFF THIS SWE ELIGIBILITY LIST. THOSE PERSONNEL
PLACING BELOW THE CUTOFFS, PROVIDING THEY REMAIN ELIGIBLE TO

You must've not been in the guard in the Mid-90's... ZERO cut-offs were VERY common.
