I use it mostly for small things, like gaskets and seals. I also got some starter rebuild kits from them too, all of was from FUIRP too, so it was free. It even helped me with finding NIINs for parts for the DEI we did last inport.

I have used it several times.. So far so good. I got parts for my MDE's in 2 days. Just like everything else it takes some time getting used to, but I think it is a good system.

I've used the site quite a bit and had many positive results from it. The thing to keep in min is that the parts are condition "k" (unknown). I have received a couple of unusable parts from it. As it says on the site, do not try to use it to correct you CASREPS. I don't think the FUIRP parts are going to be around much longer. There was a message out a couple of weeks ago about the parts being absorbed into ELC's supplies or discarded.

I guess I was looking for stuff that is non-existent. Injectors for a paxman and a jacket water pump for a 3306.

I have used the P.A.R.T quite a few times over the last couple of years. Only a couple of times did we receive parts that were no good. Bad part or wrong part with correct number, Etc.

I keep a folder of all parts reveived and the copy of the invoice I fax back to ARSC. My engineering officer and I were looking through the folder recently and we were quite suprised as to how much money we have saved by using this system. It has definitely taken the strain off of our engineering budget at times.

The system may not be around much longer, but as long as it is and available to all units in need of specific supplies, I will continue to use it.

We were also just recently Fuirp'd again, or ICCS'd or whatever the acronym the CG is using this year. So, they are still taking supplies from some units. Which would make me think they may keep the program running for a while longer?
