Good job.
IIRC, the MK2 test was the hardest EOCT for MKs.

Awesome job HTFire_15, i finally passed on my 3rd time. The first time i recieved a 41 but was just to see what was stressed on studying. Read all the material and took it again 3 wks later and scored a 75. 1 pt is all i needed but reviewed everything i didnt know and recieved a passing score of 80 percent. Not bad for RTFB and designing personal study guides along with it.

Thanks. Yea, the first time I just took it to see what was on it. I got a 65. The next two without much studying I got a 65 and 66. So, finally I hit the books hard and got an 89. Like I said, just in time too haha. Congrats to you as well!

whats the best approach to the MK2 EOCT? Thinking about taking it to see what I get and then study hard. Any suggestions? Thanks

Why not study hard and pass the test and only take it once.

I agree with that. Study hard to pass the first time.

You wouldnt believe how many fellow MK's think it is amazing to pass the first time like I did. It wasnt hard... you just had to study.

Youv'e got all the answers right there in the books. From what I saw too of the books is the ease in using them. Definetly different now then a few years ago. Plus there is a lot less outdated information in them now then when I took it. Like" how do you format a floppy disk" and "explain SCAMPS" for some of us that actually used to use those items it made sence, but for you guys who never would, it was harder for you to understand having never seen them.

Take an initiative in your career.
You will only get out of it what you put into it. Do you want to be that MK who doesnt know where to look something up? doesnt know how to study? How will this help when you try for first.

Not trying to be mean here, just get you to see that the test is the basic minimum requirement to the rateing.

Congrats on passing your test, now does anyone have a great study guide to help pass the MK1 test, I think it is harder than the MK2 test.
Many of the systems are no longer used, but they are still in the books.

I think that all of you guys that are looking for study guides are just looking for the easy way out. If you put in the time and study the books then you wont have a problem passing the test and you may even learn something. I have seen some of the study guides that are out there, and some of the answeres wrong. All you have to do right now to make E-5 or E-6 is pass the test. If you really want to advance then you shouldn't mind putting in the time to study. There are enough people out there advancing that all they did is take a test. If you want to advance then make sure that you know enough about your rate to complete the job as the next higher pay grade. I just get tired of seeing guys advance because they studied to pass a test or they got the answers from a study guide that other people made and when they do advance, they are clueless. I think that we should make sure that we know our practical factors and not just be getting them signed by just anyone. The practical factors are there for a reason and if you are not sure how to complete each one of them then you should take a step back and further your knowledge before trying to advance yourself into a job that will put you in over your head. I think that as MK's, the last thing that anyone wants is to be relieved from an EPO job or be put on performance probation. Justdont forget that there is a waiting list for the next higher pay grade but not for the next lower one.

I agree with alco.. It doesnt make sense to take the test for the purpose of "seeing whats on it". I thought the purpose of taking the test was passing!

Plus, you'll be pretty sorry when you're the 'high and mighty' MK1 who doesnt know diddly because you went to flashcards.com or wherever and got all the answers to the EOCT.

The M in MK doesnt stand for memorizing the test after taking it 7 times.
