I'm sorry to write that MKCM Stan Hiller crossed the bar on January 12, 2009 at his home in Rockport, Maine.

A brief obituary and guest book is available at bchfh.com

Sad day. I met MKCM back in Baltimore at then Group Baltimore when I was a FN stationed there in 1994. Rest In Peace Master Chief.

A shipmate from a time when it was ENCM Stan Hiller back in the First District in 1970 & 1971. Another Coast Guard legend who made a positive mark on the service.

I felt extremely privileged to have Master Chief Stan Hiller as my EPO when WHITEPINE went through major modernization, including main engine replacement, in the mid 70s. His outstanding abilities and attention to detail during that time resulted in him being awarded the CG Commendation medal. Not only was he an exceptional engineer, he was a topnotch shipmate and leader. Truly, one of the Coast Guard’s finest.
