For MK2 are they still going off the NOV 08 SWE even though the cut off was set at 138 or are they going off the MAY 09 SWE. If they are going off the NOV08 SWE, they are at 160 does the cut off not matter?
Someone off the service wide discussion forum claims EPM2 did a road show in Petaluma and claims the cuts will not be out until December! Has anyone else heard this news? He/she claims it is because the ME rate. Any 2 cents from everyone?
I don't believe that will happen like that at least. Now they may hold off on advancements a bit, but they will at least give us a ball park Cut off list so we know who has to take the Nov. SWE...
There are many reasons, which no one knows, or wishes not to pass, with our transparent CG.
It is very interesting what the ME rate will do for us MK's, as we MKs know, we conduct quite a few boardings, at least at surf stations.
I feel an MK3, MK2 or MK1 who wishes to lateral over to the ME rate and leave is due to slow advancement or the latest SRB deletions this past Message will or could effect our senior MK CORE structure.
Which leads myself to think??????
If the ME rate chooses to OPEN there rate up to the entire CG, why cant we open the MK rate up to all civilain ASE certified mechanics, all HVAC certified techs, all certifed OUTBOARD mechanincs. Bring the guy from a local shop in if he meets the new MK EPQ's???????
As an EPO for over 12 years, and seeing very little in C school courses offered to small boat stations as far as these areas, the small boat community could be hit very hard in the ME lateral.
I am not sure what could happen if my senior MK2 chooses to lateral, OH YEAH THEY WILL SEND ME AN MK3 out of A school to back fill.
Thats just it. Those of use Mk's that are dedicated to our rate and still waiting to see our name show up on that advancment list. Are stuck is these BS positions like port state or something like A sector, out of rate position when us junior guys (the one's that really need the sea time) are stuck
