Well we already know that us MK's dominate, so why not team up and do what Coasties do best....play video games. If anyone's interested in joining up for some sort of "team" on games like Gears of War 2 or Call of Duty 4/World at War, let us know. Me and a couple guys from work have been teaming up on GOW:2 and dominating. Not sure how we can set it up other than picking a time and going to live, or you may just find someone online. If you have XBOX live, drop your screen name on here and we can send out a friend request. If you've played the Horde matches on GOW:2, you know that it helps to have a team.

MassRhyno369...COD 4 when I have time (probably once a week) Will move on to World At War Soon. May even try the new GOW but not sure. Do you have to push 18 buttons to throw a grenade still???

I gotta agree with Shallowwater on that statement- of course we're older guys and we didn't have time for video games.

also answers the question about why SWE scores are low. Too much time playing games and buildin websites and sellin t shirts. Not that there's anything wrong with the board or being a proud MK but looking at those study guides I can understand the scores.

I remember Shallowwater when he was on Bucky- was at Group back then.

I guess it is just a different world for today. The games are good, great morale builder, especially underway. The website was for the rate....I think alot of guys appreciate having it.....the t-shirts, not mine. Some guy made them and wanted to know if I would put them up for him. On the other hand my life is fairly simple...no kids...total freedom, and I don't drink. Leaves me time for hobbies.

I heard that the online play was somewhat of a let down, but I'll rent it and try it out. Gears of War 2 however, is definilty worth the $.

Wow I've been retired over 20 years now, you were at Group Soo when I was on the Bucky. Where were you at the group? You have a good memory.

"Chief" Shallowwater- lets see mk1 carne,em2 shuster,can't remeember the qm's names but see them in my mind.- I was at COTP by then or on my way there- yeah i remember more faces than names but yours stuck in my head- the engineers there on Bucky helped me make MK2 and were some good people to know.
I think even Bill Dell was still there too- I have only be retired 3 1/2 years so I was a youngin back then.

Was that the DC type Bill Dell??? I was stationed on the RED CEDAR with a DC1 Bill Dell from 1994-1996. He retired in 2003.

Actually, the online versus is the greatest part. there are only a couple of levels, but it never gets old

YEP that was DC1 (ret) Bill Dell. I was on Cowslip from 89-92 then at Support Center P. from 92-96. Saw Bill walking across the road on his way to the ship as I was on my way to the Base. Yow were on Cedar with SK2 Weis then too.

Hey Roger!! Nice to see you're still around. Doing as GEO tour on Cape Cod, Sector Southeastern New England, almost depot level maintenance here. Lots of small boat work with a little ship mixed in. Family is good, still up in MI. D got a GS position over in Warren.

As far as 1st is concerned...been there, done that, going back around again...Long Story!

Hey Roger no need to be sorry. When I left the Bucky I thought he was getting ready to make BM3 But on the other hand that was alot of beers ago.

Eric- things are good- having to work still but found out the civi world pays good if ya sell youself right. hit me up in private email mkcsnipe@yahoo.com with a private email for you- wife wants to talk to yours, and man i didn't mean to bust A$$ about mk1- never knew ya made 1t. its faster going down than up as you are well aware of.

Shallowwater- yes to the many beers since then- and just as many since i left the guard in sept.05 funny how things change i guess.

I will say this- things are never ever gonna be like they used to be- nor should they be. shallowwater's guard and part of mine were different, just as those after us will be different than ours.
I guess our motto was work hard play hard (meaning go to bars/drink get rowdy/ now- go home take up wii or whatever its called- I still like the go to bars part)

You should probably put down the video game controller and pick up an E-PME manual so that you know that the MK WEBSITE isnt for the "RATE" it is for the "Rating". That means your "Rating" is MK and your "Rate" is MK3, MK2, MK1, MKC, MKCS or MKCM. As a rule the petty officer's RATE dictates the level of authority, responsibility, and accountablity. This is in your Enlisted professional military education (EPME) manual Apprentice Study Guide chapter 5 (Enlisted Rate/Pay Grade) Page E4-22.

You must of had another mistype! Because Im pretty sure you meant, "help you RATING out". And if you really want to keep the controller in your hand you should use your XBOX and go online and get all the EPME study material you could ever imagine.
