What would you like to know? I was at St. Paul Island from '06 to '07. I was the OPS/ET1 there. I may even try to go back as the XO or CO. Good luck wherever you go!!

I am looking at St Paul and Port Clarence, if you could email me on global if you have been stationed there I would really appreciate it. (MK2 Mike Farrell) I am considering putting in for the MK1 jobs there this upcoming transfer season and would like a little info for myself and the wife.

Mike, The way you ask the question that you want info for you and your wife to me throws a red flag. Your wife will not be with you. Isolated is just you some of the best people you will meet in the Guard for a year with a two week break in there at some time.

I know the wife will not be there. But we make the decision together. If I got one of these this would be my 3rd tour as a Geo / unaccompanied. I did the CGC Long Island in Valdez as a Geo, and the CGC Aquidneck (PATFOR). I am looking at this as an option since I am rotating early and would like to keep the house here. I figure I could go for a year, apply for CGIS next year, and if not accepted then use my pri 1 to come back here to the Wilmington area.

I was in Port Clarence in 04-05, it was a good job, had lots of fun there, 4 wheelers, sno-cat, fishing, hunting. All in all it was worth going up there, saved lots of money. As the MK1 will be the AEPO. There is a MKC, mk1, MK2, 2 MK3, 2 FN. also you will be aux department head. Which there are two boiler, a sewage treatment plant, lots of water tanks to take care of. the main power department which is ran by the mk2 has the gens and all of the snow equipment. One year, thirty day mid tour leave. I saw the temp get down to -80 with wind chill.
just a little about it
mk2

MK2 I was the EPO from '04-'05 and loved it. It was by far one of my best CG experiences!I had several top notch MKs working for me! The hardest was on my wife who stayed home with three teenagers! call me if you have any questions? I'm on the global(MKC F Magrans)

Thanks for all of the info and emails guys. After talking with the wife, both of these pics will end up pretty high on the e-resume. Hopefuylly if I dont get something I have ranked ahead of these I can get one of these. Do you know if these are highly requested at all? Seems like there wouldnt be too many people putting in for them, but I know that pri 1 probably draws a few.
