Station Marquette EPO. Anyone have any experience up that way?

The city of Marquette is quite nice. Good schools in the area, even has a indoor mall. Hunting and fishing is premo. Once you learn the area you will love the U.P. If you are coming from Georgia it may be a little chilly at first but really -20 isn't that cold and you will get used to the 20 or so feet of snow they get. By Memorial Day the ice and snow is gone and the two months of summer begin. Enjoy!!!

Lets see I was 2hours west in Houghton MI. Marquette is a 30ft non-standard boat. Not the best boat in the CG but I'm sure there are ones that are worse. Sta Portage does all the ATON in the area your about 3-4 hours from the Sector. Lots to do in the winter if you like to ski an snowmobile. In the summer hunting, fishing, off roading, camping ect.. Driving anyplace in the UP is a treat 3hours of trees to the Bridge(I75).

When we were in Marquette we lived in the house next door and it was great. I am not sure if that house is still available. They had talked of selling it when we were there. I would definitely call and ask. We also lived in the Lighthouse for a while but that was closed and the Maritime Musuem is now using it. It is a college town so rentals can be a little pricey for the area. KI Sawyer Air Force Base closed down and had rentals but we had a Sheriff Deputy who was a friend and told us not to live there. That of course could have changed by now. Good luck
