Good Afternoon,

FYI, the MK2 AIRSTA MIAMI AVDET position in GTMO Cuba is still available. This is a 2 year assignment with a Priority 1 transfer, at the completion of the tour. The position # is 00018734. If you are interested in this position, please resubmit an E-Resume. If you have not already been slated, or received orders, you could be considered a candidate.

Reveille - Reveille - Reveille....

We all know that the anxiety level is running on full throttle right now for those transferring. We also know that it must appear that we are not spending a lot of time in Fred's Place as of late and there is a reason for that...We are extremely busy in the slating process and don't always have the time to make the postings, the bulk of which are outside of office hours when we are still working. All this being said, we have until the 1st of April, as in every other assignment season, to complete the process. In addition, please keep in mind that we started the process over a month later than what we normally do to ensure that the list that everyone is competing for is the most up-to-date.

Looks like it is about time to do answer your questions and put some people at ease about what is currently going on and where we currently are in the process.

To answer the bulk of the questions that seem to be posted as of late, we are still slating and/or issuing orders for the priority 3 MK2's. We will be contacting those members that did not win anything on their E-Resume once we have completed the entire priority 3 MK2 slate. The positions that are no longer listed in Direct Access as open are probably those that orders have been issued for.

13476251 - We do spread out the wealth for underway positions to those members who express a true desire to go to sea. We ensure that every member is afford the ability to achieve sea time for advancement purposes, providing that they show a realistic desire for sea time. With all that being said, I think that you could have provided a much more Politically Correct way to vent. If you have a problem with the way that we do our job, then please advise your unit POC and we will address whatever grievance you may have.

jman11 - It is hard to answer your question when I don't have your actual information or a specific situation. We did issue Command Concern fleet ups and extensions prior to the shopping list deadline, but these are positions that are normally not shopped during the season. If you have any further questions concerning this, email one of us through your unit POC and we will answer your question.

Diablonegro112 / bowline172 - The only way that you know that you are slated is if we issue you orders. Otherwise, in a nutshell, you don't know if we have slated you. You are more than welcome to resubmit your E-Resume with the newly listed picks in addition to those already listed. Keep in mind, this is at your own rish. We do not go back in the assignment process and you will remain slated for the position that we have you identified for on our spreadsheets.

Well, that is about it for now....Next Watch! Good Luck to everyone out there and we hope that this posting continues to be a success for all involved.

V/R,
CWO John Roberts

Sir,

After reading the detailers web page I was under the assumption that the orders were distributed by rank and priority. Starting with priority one E9's and so on all the way down to priority five E-4's. By your last post you were still working on priority three MK2's but at my unit three priority 5 MK2's just received orders this past week. My question is that I'm a priority 5 MK1 at a unit with three MK2's who have already received orders, should I just assume I did not win any job's from my E-resume, because these members have received orders before I have out of order by rank and priority?

Looks like the MK2 Priority 5's are going out. I have a couple buddies who won something on their list. Those of us who have not heard anything, how soon before we hear something??? Are all the extensions given out? I had over 30 picks on my e-resume; boats and land billets but still no word. Confused

Good Morning My Fellow Engineers! I just wanted to pass the Night Orders to let you know exactly what is currently going on with the Engineering Assignments. I know that we have been kind of absent in the forum lately, but we really thought you would rather we focused on the slate/orders part of our job.

So, without further adieu, let's clutch in the mains and hammer down.

We have finished the slating and issuing orders for all MKCM's and MKCS's. We have slated and issued orders for all MKC's with the exception of several that are currently being cleared through the Special Needs Program. We have slated almost all of the MK1's and we are in the process of issuing those orders. Those MK1's that have not been slated are in the process of being contacted with the remaining available units. We have slated almost all of the MK2's . Those MK2's that have not been slated will be contacted shortly with the remaining available units. We are beginning the process of slating the priority 4/5 MK3's.

We all know that you are all very anxious concerning the assignment season. I can't emphasize enough that we are still within the timeframe of having all orders out before 1 April. If you keep in mind that we started almost a month and a half later than past years you would understand that we are actually making remarkable time. We are receiving an extremely high number of emails and phone calls from members asking when they are going to get their orders. Please, please, keep in mind that every time we answer the phone or an email, it just slows us down and prevents us from working on the assignments for that much longer.

That is about it for now because I've got next watch. At least it ain't the 4-8's!

We wish you all the best of luck for the remainder of this AY.

V/R,
CWO John Roberts

It was an MK2 list. I don't think it was too bad at all. I saw two 378's one 210 and one of the new WSML's. All on the West Coast. Far from where I want to be. But luckly there was pleanty of N. East coast from CT down to VA.

Wish me Luck. I submitted it on Tues, hopefully hear some good news real soon.
