Aloha,
my question is actually pretty simple but would like to read it from the detailers. If a person has just been recently identified for advancement and is above the cut and he is in a priority 3 billet, will he loose his priority if he is going to be moved? I see it's been said all MK1 priority3 have been slated does that mean thy have lost their priority? Thank you

Good Evening fireindahole,

My question back to you, is if your Designated Command Representative has contacted your Assignment Officer, as per EPM's AY 09 SITREPS? Your situation is understood, but it does not need to be discussed here. I suggest that you discuss your concerns with your Command Representative. A question would be what the PERSMAN states in regards to your AY 08 transfer to your current unit, and what is stated in regards to advancements.

Different MK1 subject: A Critical fill message for an MK1 at LORAN Station Tok is on the Board.

Good day sir,
my question was just a general question for anybody in the CG and for educating our subbordinates. I would say must wonder about it. If anyone that is above a revised cut from any priority in which people have received orders or are slated for orders loose their priority? I wonder if that is the sad case. I also see that the mk1 job at the loran station has been brought up twice, I hope it has nothing to do with news to come. thank you for your time answering all our questions in this forum. It nice to see that our detailers care about sending the right message even outside of work.

I agree, fireindahole. I am also above the cut and at a priority 3 and was wondering if I loose the priority. Thank you for asking the question for me and everyone else affected by the new cuts in terms of transfering. Per policy, I had my unit's Designated Command Representative put in call(s) to my detailer regarding this and am still waiting for a reply. If I hear anything I will let you know. Hopefully we will get some answers on here or from our detailers. I know we are not the only ones in this situation with this question. I hope we can hear something this week as waiting sucks and my wife is driving me crazy.

Good Morning MK2 Rodriguez, and goofygregg,

FYI, to answer your "General question", members will retain their priority in competing with the other members who are receiving the supplemental list.

If anyone is interested the following sections of the PERSMAN deal with assignments of newly promoted members. I hope this helps.

4.B.4.b. Reassigning Members due to Position Deletion, Unit Decommissioning or Advancement.

4.C.3.e. Assigning Newly Advanced Personnel E4-E9

4.C.3.g Petty Officer Assignment Policy (POAP)

I just wanted to say hi. Thats about it, I think. NO wait I got something...

I read through this to see if there was some usefull information and all I really see is a bunch of cranky brown nosing *****es making posts during workdays when they should be out helping to develop the people who will once replace you someday. Man I can't believe some of the **** in this place.

I was looking at the picks list in another post and I can see why it is hard for some MK's to get any seatime because all you shorebirds don't leave until it is absolutely neccesary. I listened to CWO McQueen last year and I really hope the detailers do spread out the wealth of underway billets better when MK's are thirds and secinds so less competition for the 200+ afloat MK1 billets.

Sorry had to vent. Man I wish I become a detailer one day and then figure out who is behind every screename so i make sure they get exactly what they want!

I do have a question though. Since I know that my boat has a specific amount of Females attached and that we don't want to lose those billets so that other females have the chance to get underway (two MK billets to boot). Is there a way you can make it eaiser for them to find open female billets on ships for each transfer season other than having to call you? I know that we are waiting paitently for our orders and don't want to bug you at all.

I think that you should leave your negative comments at the door... this is a discussion board not a venting session. I am a spouse and find you attitude disrespectful. Please remember that you comments reflect the Coast Guard and this is not a member's only discussion board. Thank you for being considerate.

I would still like to know why some people received orders before e-resumes were even due and had no choice in their assignment when it was stated earlier that everyone was being treated as a AY transfer?

Also I wanted to let 13476251 know that the posted time that shows up is not the actual time everywhere, this post is not during the workday. I do ask questions on here so I can explain these types of situations to the people who will one day replace me.

Thanks.

Good Evening,

FYI, we "ARE NOT" done slating Priority 3 MK2s. Prior to our working port call this afternoon, a few of us were able to issue some orders this afternoon.

Good Evening Sir.

I dont know if this is going to be a good question but we have a lot of MK2's priority 3 confused here. In my case today at 1700 all my 22 billets were gone. My friend he had 28 billets all of them gone too. And we dont have orders. When a billet dissapeared from peoplesoft is because someone has orders already or it can be theres someone slated for it? Thanks for your time and this thread.

It was posted on 2-11-09 that the MKC slate was complete and that we could expect orders shortly. Any new word or updated information on when we can expect orders. I still haven't heard anything. MKC, Pri 5, Station EPO.

If your job is gone, it has been slated. From there it has to go through the channels and then orders are cut through the airport terminal and you will recieve an e-mail. The channels I speak of are putting the tono together and ensuring your travel money is right. Again, I am not a detailer but that is how is was explained to me and it makes sense.

Good Afternoon,

FYI, an MK2 Position has become available at Sector Miami VBS Team Duty Position # 00038148. If you are interested in this position, please resubmit an E-Resume. If you have not already been slated, or received orders you could be considered a candidate.

Good afternoon Sir,

How do I know if I've been slated or not? I am PRI 3 MK2 and haven't received orders yet. There are still two of my picks left, kind of stressed out now. Thank you.
