The way I read it is if you do not receive an e-mail you are good. But if you get an e-mail about the screening than you will not be eligible for an EPO position unless they have not filled all of them, and at that point they will send a message with all of the EPO jobs not filled an you can then apply for them even if you did not screen.

The detailers will not slate you for a EPO position unless you have successfully been screened for an EPO position. If you think you might want any EPO position then send in your screening package. You will only be notified if your package was incomplete or you do not successfully screen for the EPO position.

I would think since the dead line to screen for EPO was 10JUL09 that we would be notified if we screened well for the position. It would save the detailers time rather then everyone requesting EPO positions that there not eligible for in the first place.

after reading the guidline again, My opinion is: you would probably be notified if you dont qualify. the list for those that dont qualify would be shorter than those that do. The detailers wont have time to email every individual that does meet the requirements. I am guessing that if you do not hear anything then you go forward with the process and pick your EPO billets with the next step. There isnt a doing well portion for qualifying for EPO positions its either you do or you dont. PLEASE dont read this as an attack, just my opinion and a little experience.

I wonder how many people submitted EPO screening packages. There has to be quite a few MK's wanting to screen for EPO and not a lot of positions to fill. I submitted E6 and E7 positions as I'm not sure I'll be advanced by transfer season. I think there are around 150 E7 EPO positions open next year and probably the same for E6.

I was told to screen even though I am already filling an EPO position, does anyone know why? Maybe because I am only a MK2?

the days of being an EPO and completing successful tours are no longer for not applying. If your are filling or intend on filling another EPO billet we are still required to put in for a screening, its just a formality, just incase anything has changed from last time. This is my 3rd EPO billet and screening is no big deal as long as you follow the guidance. if you dont follow the guidance your package will be held up and they move on to the next package, so follow it exactly as it states. Dont worry its the way the do business now to ensure that they have the best candidate for the job, hope this helps.

SCCSURF- How can you screen for E-6 and E-7 EPO jobs if the shopping list has not come out yet? Unless I did this wrong, I thought all we had to do was submit the first E-Resume by July 10th and then wait to see if we are approved? According to the process guide, we submit 2 E-Resume's; the first is to the screening panel and then if approved, you submit a second for the jobs your interested in. Anyone else want to chime in on this? If I misunderstood SCCSURF than my mistake.

Cougar72...you are right on. That is how the message was worded. They might come out and publish an early slate for EPO's from what I understand; kind of like the OIC and XPO jobs. The way I read it is if you screen positively and don't end up with an EPO job for some reason then you will be first to be offered the remnants. Everyone else who did not screen or did not screen sucessfully will get what is left over. That is what I understand, but it won't be the first time if I am wrong.

Bullseye378...Well if that is true, I hope I screen positive because most of the billets are EPO jobs and what is left doesn't look good or I have no idea what those acronyms mean next to the job! lol Thanks for the reply.

I spoke with the detailer yesterday about this exact thing. He told me that as of yet they have not started holding boards for the EPO screening process. What I mean by boards is they go through your record and see what things you might have in there that would preclude you from holding an EPO spot. That being said, time to play the waiting game again and yes if you hear something then there is a problem, if not just assume that you have been cleared for one.

Cougar72, You're right, the first one is just to be screened, I just submited my first e-resume asking to be screened for both positions just in case. The AO told me in an email to sumbit it like that and the second one will have both positions (E6 &E7)listed in order if I'm still not above the cut yet. Hope that clears it up.

I was wondering if anyone knew if I would still be able to compete in for an EPO position even though I was not able to complete early screening (due to a 3 because of my weight) but now it will have been more than 2 years in OCT and I would like to fill an EPO position even if it is a leftover. Will there be a regular transfer season screening process for EPO positions.
Thanks.
