WOW, looks like the new FRC billets will be out 25 SEP shopping list.
USCG . mil has really good info on what it will be, 5700 HORSEPOWER MTU's, really nice.

If i post the link, someone will edit my posts anyway, check out the info on this cutter.

After being on a 110, this will be like a LEXUS, instead of an old souped up smokey pinto with a PAXMAN.

To all this speared season good luck.

5700hp each? That sounds a lot more ballsy than my old c class Cat boat. Any idea on how to search for these boats in Direct Access? Any word on their names or home ports?

The first cutter is the SENTINAL WPC 1101, The reason they are slow to be on people soft is that the detailers are still inputing info, until the list promulgated, or finished, it only has 5 right now, for openings, MKC, MK1, MK2, and MK3. Anyway the detaliers said dont submit an E resume for a month, which will give everyone to make sure it is good to go.

The FRC website has a break down of the proposed billet structure. The EPO jobs show up on the MKC shopping list but, the website says MKCS EPO.

Unless you count the 3 remaining 179's out of Pascagoula, they also have MK1's. In fact the new cutters are going to have the same designation, WPC.
Hey Jason, are you looking at one of these?

Does anyone know where the following cutters might be homeported after the first 2? I looked online for a schedule, just would be nice to see whats going to be available in the coming years.

I'm going to say that the first few will probably get dispersed around florida. I believe there were eight 123's made, so they need to replace those first. We'll see though.

I was recently sent a powerpoint outlining a bunch of info about these. First several will be Miami, Key West, Puerto Rico, Panama City and then St Pete. Ketchikan was up next, with more to follow.

I work at the PRO in lockport and i can tell you that the first 6 will be in miami as of now, then after that will be alaska. I am trying to get stationed on one so thats why i am at the pro now, so that i know everything about the boat when it is built, hopefully the detailers will consider me for one.

Actually the 3516 E rated engines are very good engines, just used wrong. There should of been C rated engines in the 110s and the fact that they are NOT taken care of correctly is why everyone thinks the C's are bad. As far as the NSC the best set of engines on it is the 3512s. Good luck getting support on the 4000s, hope someone can speak German.
