I was just wondering if anyone had this info and knew what it would be for someone re-enlisting as an mk2 (first enlistment) and how the heck you figured out how much you get. Thanks.
Talk to your YN. Briefly; there are zones A, B...and maybe C (not sure about C). Depending on how many years you have in will determine your multiplier rate. This is the basic formula:
Multiplier X Months re-enlisting X Base Pay / 12
All bonuses are taxed 25%. If you chose to receive a lump sum payment, you will only get 85% of the amount of the bonus you qualified for, but it will still be taxed 25%. Also, there are other factors to consider. Talk to your YN.
Thanks! Yeah i just did the math, man they really try and screw you with taking that lump sum - dangling money in front of you is just too much for some people huh. Thanks for the links and stuff tho! trying to get a straight answer out of some people is like pulling teeth!
