Just want to throw out some advice. Anyone planning on traveling outside the U.S. for a vacation, make sure you read MLCLants or Pacs foreign travel policy. You need to start on a package as soon as possible, the process for approval takes over thirty days. I am learning the hardway of these lessons. The policy makes little sense, but the guy who signs my paycheck says I have to do it.

Nothing new in these rules and you don't get to choose which rules you follow.

Rules? What rules? We don't need no stinking rules! I just remember having to advise the command if you planned on leaving the country (Canada, Mexico, some remote island with fat eskimo babes).. Ok, the last one sounded good but not true |

Ummmm....only if you are planning on traveling to a country with a bad rep with the US State dept. Otherwise all you should have to do is route up the chit through your command and receive the appropriate travel briefings with your unit CSO. As a current CSO who has traveled to other countries while on leave I am interested to see exactly what policy you are talking about. If you have a link to the instruction please shoot me a email so I can peruse the content for my own info. I'm in the global. |

If you have been married more than 8 years, and don't have both of your passports yet, might want to do it for your eleventh anniv!
