Can someone tell me if the DOD housing in bremerton, WA is enlisted or officer quarters? Nice houses almost sounds too good for a DC1 The company is called American Eagle Communities.
DCCLUTCH We live in DOD housing in Seattle. It’s really nice and is run by the same company. I have not made it over to Bremerton yet but It should be ok. I’m An E-8 and live in a single family house. E-7 and above live in “khaki housing” Have you gone to the web site?

Where is the DOD housing in Seattle? Are those the Fort Lawton ones? If so I have heard a rumor that they are closing those down. I have recently gotten orders back to Seattle and we are trying to figure out options.
If Fort Lawton is not an option any more, there is Navy housing up at Smokey Point (Marysville). And to address any reservations you may have about living that far north from the city, remember the CG will give you a Mass Transit pass (which means you can skip the gridlock on I5 and take the Sounder rail transit to and from work every day instead). Your family would also have the benefit of being close to the Navy Exchange, Commissary, Clinic, etc all up there too.
