I'm having a great deal of trouble finding a crate that meets dept of agriculture and airline regs to ship my Great Dane to Hawaii in. ANyone have any suggestions or experience? He's pretty tall even by great dane standards.
You can secure airport release(no quarantine) if you are really on top of it with your paperwork and we are way ahead of schedule there.
The airlines are great at reading the regs of a computer screen but not so good at telling me when they will bend the rules or where to find a supplier of a crate. The largest size I've been able to find is available right up the street at the NEX, it would fit an average size dane, but it falls just a little short with my boy. Hopefully they will look the other way.
have you called Vari Kennel, and see if they have something. If nothing else, thier are companies that make aluminium crates special....but they are expensive as hell. Thier are also shippers that specialize in pets let me see if I can get a number.
I am sure you know #700 is as big as crates get. And usually only hold up to about 120 lbs.
But that company's name is Barthco.com. the website does not look like they will ship pets but they do. We use them for when we compete internationally. thier is a man named Mike Andrel his E-mail is Caninehero@aol.com or you can call 610-461-3200
