I have been reading unit information sheets, seeing whats out there. I have noticed in many info sheets it states "do not bring dependents when reporting". What exactly does this mean? Will I move ahead of my family and find houseing before they can arrive, or does this mean reporting for duty (first work day).

Thanks
Shawn

i would go along with do not bring them on the reporting date. i'm sure it's mainly to get you all reported in and start the initial paperwork process. even after my first duty station, i never brought my family.
