I'm looking for ideas for quiet areas, hotels or resorts that have low off-season rates, summer or winter, east coast or west. Something that rents by the week or month, so I could bail out on this project, go nearby and not pay sizeable fees. This might be a specific vacation spot off the regular path, logs cabins and such, or an in-town site for a decent smaller town.

Basically, I'm looking for places where I can take a couple months off, pick the right next project and mobilize to that - without breaking the bank during the time without a paycheck.

The range I'm looking for is roughly $1000 a month, or $250-$300 a week.

The main thing is it has to be safe and clean, with Wi-Fi so I can continue on project hunts. I'm currently on the west coast; I'd like to bail out of here right after labor day and stay out until the new year.

So if anybody's aware of some really nice places to shack up that you've come across ... let me know.

If I go back across as far as Georgia or NC, I've already got places there that we've stayed before. Mostly right now - West Coast, Texas, AL or inland as far as Arkansas. Thanks, y'all.
