Not where I live!

I made eighteen grand a year teaching high school in the '90s. I think a Plt. SGT makes a bit more than that these days.

The average regular term salary where I taught is $29,805. Our state minimum just went to $25K. That's what a fifth year teacher would make at that school. It's a poor ass place, too.

As someone just beginning on their military experience, i have noticed a pattern on those of you who have replied on this thread. That pattern is: most of you had multiple MOS-es while in the military. My question is, why is this? Also, is that a common thing, for people to change their MOS?

I think that depends on how long you're in. A lot of people change when they re-enlist, and some get their MOS designator changed just because the Army likes to do that.

I was only an 11B.
