bponder- Yes we got lucky, just as the Gators did against Arkansas.
GeraldM- As a proud alum of Alabama, I'll continue to root for the Tide. Maybe you SHOULD do a google or youtube search for the 1979 Sugar Bowl. I do concur with you on the fact that Joe Paterno is a class act.
Judge- Hell yeah, Clemson suprised me as well. How about Georgia Tech? The Ramblin Wrecks are playin' some serious ball in the ACC. As to Bama, very flat showing. Fortunatly this our bye week, so we will have time to regroup, reboot, etc. and be ready to take care of business when LSU comes to T-Town on 7Nov.
SEC Football is so slow and boring. Who wants to see a 12-10 game? Lets see some passing and some QBs that can play the game. I will say Alabama, get a QB and you guys might be pretty good. Jones seems legit be interesting to see him on Sundays. Wife is a UA gal, and I have a little one who runs around yelling ROLL TIDE every game day. This week I can watch my PSU team in peace and quiet and not have to worry about watching boring SEC games. And if ESPN does another special on how awesome Tim Tebow is I am gonna just give up on life. The dude is gonna make a great tight end on Sundays, maybe a fullback, certainly won't be playing behind center in NFL.

As a proud student of Penn State I have to evangelize for my team. Nothing personal, Alabama is a good team just got to support the Blue and White everywhere. Anyways just **** talking for fun, support whoever you want.
GeraldM...No harm no foul. In fact, one of my favorite non SEC teams is Penn State, because of Joe Paterno and the tradition there. I will point out that in the 13 meetings between Bama and Penn State, Bama leads the series 8-5.
Others feel free to jump in, there's got to be some Pac-10 ***s, I mean fans out there.
A little off-topic, but the best thing about Joe Pa is unlike all those NFL players and coaches you hear about Joe Pa isn't in it for the money. I ran by his house once during PT and its not a mansion, its just a normal everyday home.
I was thinking Alabama was going to start giving away after the sack in the endzone for a touchback. That was a good 4th quarter. Now it's time to watch Clemson and FSU. Both are equally matched. Just not the same with it not being a Bowden Bowl.
That was an awesome game. I really thought with that safety that things were going to end differently but whew- they hung on in fine fashion. McElroy has got to keep his head though. I fear we aren't going to beat Florida missing wide open Jones in the end zone.

Someone sounds like they may be a little envious of the SEC.

It's that time of year again.... College Football!
Talk about your alma mater or favorite team; no pro or 'fantasy' crap, just good 'ole' college football.
You have no idea how much joy I took in doing laps around the sports bar last year yelling ROLL UTES when that game ended. I got about 2 laps in and decided it may be good for me to leave.

Judge, I concur. ROLL TIDE!
Carolina played a helluva game against Florida last Sat. The momentum of the game changed in one play, as I'm sure you know. Once again a classic SEC smash mouth game.
