So I was going through a box of my Grandfathers old Army things from his service with the Army of OCcupation and in Korea during the 50's and found something I have never seen before. A blue and gold pin in the hsape of a shiled, wiht the words "Perform the Task" under it. DOes anyone know what this is? I'm not even sure if its an Army medal, just assuming so because its in the same box as his old I.D, dog-tags, unit patches, etc...Any help would be apreciated. Thanks.

A picture would help.

I'm guessing it's Duty Unit Insignia (DUI) from the old Garrison cover or his Class A shoulder loop.

Do you know what unit your Grandfather was with? That would help narrow it down.

Oddly enough, I find no 373rd AIB in the WWII US ARMY Order of Battle.

Also regiments 362 through 374 in the ORBAT are listed as Seperate (Colored) units
