When training to become a pilot for the Marines, who chooses what aircraft you will fly? Can you request for a certain aircraft or a certain type of aircraft? Also, if the aircraft needs more than one person to operate, who chooses which position you will have? My main concern is that I want to fly an aircraft that focuses on combat, such as the f18, av8b, or f-35 when it starts being used and I dont want to end up flying a helicopter, a fat plane, or sitting in the back of an f-18 wishing how much I want to be the one flying it.
