I know that I asked this in another forum, but I will ask it here as well.
I am 23 years old, I plan to enroll in college before June 23. I would like to join the USMC as a pilot. I have a few questions: 1. I read that in order to do ROTC, if you are 23 years of age, then you must be enrolled in college by June 23. Is this correct? 2. If I enroll in an online college and then decide to go to transfer to another college that is on campus. Can I enter ROTC? 3. I would like to be a pilot. I read that you must be signed up no later than the age of 25, in order to get in as a pilot. Is this true? If I do ROTC, and I will not graduate until after age 25. Then is there anyway that I can be signed in at age 25, and have a slot as becomming a pilot? 4. What guidelines must the college meet in order for my 4 yr degree to be accepted by the USMC? I am considering going to an online college. Every online college that I have checked into is Regionally Accredited. What I do NOT want to do is this, I do not want to go to an online college, only to find out that after I graduate. That the Marine Core will not accept it as a degree from an approved college. As you can see I am considering two options here. Online college and a campus based one. For the present, I cannot attend a campus based college until fall, I plan to enroll now in an online one and then transfer to a campus based one. Since I will be enrolled no later than June 23, will I be eligible for ROTC, if I begin online, and then transfer to a campus based, and then sign up for ROTC? My last question is this. I am 23 yrs old (I turned 23 in March), I am just now starting college for my 4 yr degree. Will I still be able to become a pilot, considering my age? Thank you very much for your time. I understand that this is long, and filled with many questions. I want to be very careful in what I am doing and make sure that I take all the proper steps in getting it done right. Thank you, |

Call a OSO or the main requiting station nearest to you. Officer programs are much different that enlisted so you better off asking on of them (Officers). We do have several Officers hear who can advise but your best direct ion would be a OSO...
