I know that you have to have the house completely closed by Dec. 1 in order to take advantage of the free 8000, but I've been deployed all year, and finally getting home soon. The wife and I are planning on buyin in the Clarksville area, but we won't have time to settle before the deadline, and i can't find anything out about extensions. It actually seems pretty deadset. But, if anyone knows any information that would help, that would be great.

I sent you a message through the add friends function of this site. Clarksville is in my back yard. There are no extensions available but you do have other things in your favor. When are you going to physically be at Ft. Campbell?

Hi I'm a Realtor/ADA Spouse @ Redstone Arsenal Al. There may be an extension to the 1st Time credit it is in the house for a vote with an extension date of April 30th. That being said many good loan programs are available with down paymetn assistance. Find a good Realtor to help you the process.

Good Luck!

I haven't seen the details yet but from what I understand, yesterday the tax credit was extended through April 2010.
