My husband and I are getting ready to PCS. We are wishing to purchase a home at our new location. We were wanting to use a VA loan through USAA and I am curious about what documents I will need to apply. More specifically, will we need something to prove he is active duty? I read online about an original statement of service, but we have no idea where his is. Would his military ID or LES statement suffice instead?
Thanks! |

Why don't you just call USAA and talk to them? They have the answers you seek to try to finance with them.

If you call USAA they will tell you what they need. I would suggest you get your statement of service from your current CO so you don't have to ask for one from your new CO when you get to your new duty station. I'm in the process of buying a house with a VA loan but not financing with USAA. |
