I found a home that I am interested and the price is reasonable. $138k. I can put at least $2k down but I do not have the best credit. I am VA eligible. Should I even pursue this further or would it be a complete waste of time?

You need to speak to a loan officer that knows VA loan guidelines and get pre-approved.

The internet is a great tool for locating these VA mortgage lenders. Military.com has a pre approval link you can use, you can just google something like VA loan approval or even call a local bank. Good Luck
