Hello, I was approved for a rate conversion, from MM to OS, but I have to complete OS 'A' school first. My school is near the end of June. I just want to know if anyone has any insight as to what I could expect as a fleet returnee, for quarters and liberty. Are there any restrictions that someone from the fleet may or may not like? Thanks

I did the same as you but, 12 years ago. MM to GSM. You do everyhtign that the non-fleet returnees do, unless youre e5 or above. As e4, you dont have a liberty card. But, you still have BS duty, BS inspections, you share a room with boots.

I was SO ready to leave there when I got there, as I thought the amount of BS they put you through is stupid. But, like everythign else, play their reindeed games, jump throught heir hoops and grad the school. Was my first and last trip to great lakes, and I am glad I was only there 10 weeks.

Of course I know things have changed since 97, so take this for what its worth.
