Haqve you talked to your CCC? They should be full of information for you. I would think at a minimum, you would submit a request chit up the chain. That should get the ball rolling.

You can put in your PTS application I believe 12 months prior to your EAOS. You may be able to submit it sooner than this August but as TMC stated talk with your CCC.

My EAOS is August09 and sadly the Navy is telling me I can't crossrate until a year before that. I've taken the DLAB and scored a 110 on it which I've heard is good since I'm hoping to land arabic. I'm supposed to go transfer out to a ship next month from shore duty but want to get as much done for crossrating as possible so I was wondering if anyone had any advice or tips on here for me? Is there anything I can do between now and then? Which parts of the Crossrate packet have NO WAIVERS on them? Any help will be appreciated, thanks.
- Getting conversion approval prior to PTS approval is next to impossible. I've only seen it done twice - both cases for HM. - PTS applications are due 15 months prior to EAOS, so yours will be due in May. Get PTS approval to reenlist first. Then concentrate on your conversion package to CTI.

I could tell you what my tagline was, but then I'd have to shoot you.

PRT failure could definately hurt you cross-rating. If your rate is actually (according to the current definition) overmanned, and CTI is actually undermanned, it may be possible. You normally have to wait 3 eval cycles before you can cross-rate, but don't let that keep you; go ahead and submit it (May is this week after all), just be prepared.
