Hey everyone, I'm an AE3 currently with only a year and a half in the Navy. I wanted to join as a CTI but unfortunately got pushed into leaving early and picking AE. Well I figured out pretty quickly that I don't like being an AE and I definitely want to cross rate to CTI.
I've already been working on my package for cross rating. Completed my SF86 and started the investigation process. Took the DLAB and scored 123. About to do my security interview with our security officer.
Anyway, my CCC told me I can put in a request chit right now to cross rate, but I wont be able to actually put my whole package in until I have 2 years in the command. Is there any way around this? I got to my command in November 2008, and we'll be going on deployment again at about the time I hit my 2 year mark with the command. I'd really like to have orders to DLI before the next deployment. Any help would be appreciated.
