with an open shirt the t-shirt should not show.
With a closed shirt no one would know.
BTW we use to wear crew neck t-shirts in trops.

The best thing about retiring was the fact that I will NEVER have to wear another V neck T shirt. Dave

I agree, the v-neck has got to go. What worked for Hasselhoff isn't really working for me.

the v neck looks better in trops. The crew neck looked like you forgot your tie.

Flynnpatrick, The V neck makes it look like you forgot to wear your T shirt... I think it looks sloppy. Dave

A reason for going to the v-neck was to present a more uniform appearance...them grubby old crew neck t-shirts weren't pretty enough!

Yes sir...(also with the working blues)i remember this big mk on the sherman who had the top part of his t-shirt cut out and stuck in his pocket...he would slip this ring/makebelieve t-shirt(no sleeves no body just basically a sweatband) over his head and around his neck ..in the chow line..as the maa was checking for shirts and such...
