does anyone know where i can find the odu work shirt with U.S Coast guard on it in white letters ?

you can in the ODU short uniform otherwise you are correct it is not authorized.

CDR are you sure that those T-shirt on the web site under ODU link are authorized? I don;t believe that the crests or badges on the front of those are.

There was a place in Key West called Ramona's that sold them. It simply said, "U.S. Coast Guard" in small white letters on the left side of the shirt. She only charged $5 for them, so you could probably get her to order them. Everyone in Key West would buy them there because they were so cheap. Check it out.

Last I knew, that was the authorized shirt to wear. Then there will be no questions asked! If you want one right now, go to Wal-Mart or the like and buy a plain blue t-shirt for under $5.

It is $10.35 for a pack of 3 thru the UDC. And they'll take it right out of your paycheck and mail it to your house VERY quickly!

cutterman8 I didn't look at the web site I was just answering the question about whether or not the US Coast Guard in white was authorized.

I did wonder, when I looked if that company had permission to use the logo in its clothing.

Correct. Unless you are in the Hot Wx Uniform, then you are authorized the shirt with the "US Coast Guard" on it.
