Trying to get my uniform together and having problems mounting medals.

Uniform regs say when wearing 8 medals to wear them in 2 rows of 4, and they should be overlapping left to right (I'm paraphrasing here).

How the heck are ya supposed to overlap these things? There has to be a way to do these yourself, or has everyone paid to get them professionally mounted?

Half my medals do not have the pass through backing like a ribbon does for attaching devices, so even using individual mounts and placing one pin through the medal next to it wont work.

Can anyone point me in the right direction here?

Dont really want to drop the dime on a pro mount since I hardly ever wear these things (this will be the second time in 12 years), but if I have to go that route, who do yall recommend that has a fast turn around time? Leaving on the 14th of Sept and need everything done by then.
