Hey everyone,
Has anyone been able to find the new (DOG Tab/Rocker) for woodland uniform (olive drab color)? I've acquired the Desert and Blue tabs but as I've said no woodland. Thanks for the help. Gonzo |

Interesting, are they planning on developing one for each unit ??? The USN wears a unit identifying mark on the right shoulder of their dress uniforms, CG following on also ????

I've never heard of such a thing. Can you post a pic?

It is a new thing in the DOG Uniform Instruction to be placed on the left shoulder above the unit patch. They come in dark blue for coveralls, tan/brown for DCU and green for CCUs, although we were told they will not be issuing the green until they decide what uniform is replacing the woodland CCUs.

wow. Last I heard we were following the Navy's CUU instruction. Since they have the new NWU, I guess its fitting that the DOG units have their own uniform instruction. Does anyone know the CI number?

So it is something along the lines of the PSU patch that can be worn on the left sleeve.

...seems just a little bit on the elitist side, unless someone from a PACAREA unit would wear a PACAREA one above their 'unit' patch & one their coveralls. |

Blue coveralls, organizational type stuff, but not worn on the ODU ????

Yep, not on the ODUs. According to the Instruction there are five types of organizational clothing CCU/DCUs, coveralls, maintenance coveralls, flight suits, and DSF Dive Locker clothing. The reason we were told for the instruction was an admiral (not sure which) saw a picture with a bunch of different DSF units in it and everyone was dressed different. They also made ODUs the uniform of the day for all units including the PSUs which I think is a good thing. Master Chief, as for being a little on the elitist side, I don't really understand either. Maybe on the CCUs/DCUs I guess, but coveralls? |

The Dog patch goes above the PSU patch. Really makes the sleeve look ..."busy"...for wont of a better word...

Do the Strike Teams get to keep their coveralls?

can we sew patches on coveralls that are covered with paint and primer?

CG Forums Moderator Are you going to pull those pistols or whistle Dixie? ![]() |
Enough paint and primer will make them "camouflage"...

Add all the various badges/insignia/rockers, etc. and next thing you know.....you'll look military! |

Yes NSF keeps their coveralls. You don't sew anything on maintenance coveralls

Why do the Strike Teams continue to have coveralls? Aren't they part of the same military service as the rest of us? |
