Good Evening All,

I am about 8 weeks pregnant and I just ordered my maternity ODU. I am having difficulty finding some information however.

For instance, the Name tapes. Since there are no chest pockets, what do I align them to?

And Secondly, what shoes are authorized with this uniform. I have been told that low quarters are authorized, however, I can't imagine being 6 months pregnant and squeezing my feet into those god-aweful shoes. Some members of my unit (all male, lol) said I should see if boat shoes are authorized. They also suggested sneakers, however I think they lack professionalism.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I wore both uniforms (ODU and Trop)till two weeks before birth. Go get a pair of cors and a pair of boots in one size bigger. If you feet swell beyond your shoes at six months talk to your doctor and cut out the salt. Hope it helps, congrats, and good luck.

I remember back in the Old Guard....there were plenty of male Coasties that may have fit better in a maternity ODU. Big Grin

I'm not saying the same wouldn't apply to me today. Wink
