One thing I'm hoping to shoot for in my educational career is my Masters (most likely, an MBA). I keep hearing of a program where a college student can work towards his Masters while doing ROTC simultaneously, but I can't find anything official associated with this (not even a program name!).
Any help or links would be greatly appreciated!
FYI - I'm looking at Army ROTC, Navy ROTC (both USN & Marine options) and Air Force ROTC. My first choice is Marine option NROTC.
With Army ROTC I know you can, I am going to start my Masters in the fall in GIS while doing AROTC. I am not sure about the others, your best bet would be to find an ROTC unit any branch at a school you are interested in and ask the enrollment officer there. Good luck to you.
NROTC doesn't offer any programs for getting your masters at the same time, but once you get commissioned, it's highly encouraged to get your masters while on shore duty. You can even do it on the Navy's dime, though you will owe more time.
NROTC does have a program (unofficial) where outstanding midshipmen can complete their masters as long as it takes less than i year after commissioning. This program is very hard to get and must be endorsed by the Commanding Officer of the NROTC Unit and approved through NETC. It is possible.
Yeah, but that's after commissioning and participating in ROTC as an undergrad. There is no program where one can be a midshipman while earning a masters degree.
