Is this MOS very hard to get in the reserves?
I know it's not an entry level MOS and is there
any 35L reserve units in or around Ohio? Also is CID considered above CI Agent or are they both equal with different missions?

35L is hard to get into in the respect that most people will not qualify in one part or another or won't be suitable for the job.

Unlike the OSI or NCIS, CID and CI have different jobs. CID works with criminal investigation. CI works with counterintelligence. They are both federal agents but one doesn't supersede the other except when it comes to jurisdiction.

I am 37 - interested in 35L - I have no prior military experience, great shape, have Juris doctorate degree, practice as attorney in the Northeast. I am bored and want to do something more exciting and different. I am married. Two kids.
any chances of me getting in?

Hey!
I am interested in active duty. As an officer, would I start out at O-1 on pay grade? Could I be 35M? Any suggestions where I should start?>

Is military intelligence appointment something you can put in a contract?

Nope, can't put it in your contract, needs of Army and such. If you want MI, go warrant officer. You'll do more hands on as a warrant than an officer anyway.

Talk to a recruiter...

As was addressed in the other thread, you do have the option to get into the JAG Corps if you'd prefer to continue your career in law. 351L currently has a program for civilians with certain qualifications, where an accepted candidate comes in, goes through BCT, CISAC, WOCS, and then WOBC. Check the USAREC 351L Warrant Officer Prerequisites for non-prior service personnel.
