My husband is currently looking into re-classing to become a 35L. I don't know much about it other than small things off the internet. If anyone has any information I would really appreciate it. I have lots of questions. Like how demanding is this job compared to others. I understand the Army is demanding in general but his current MOS is 25B which is basically an average job. I would also like to know about AIT. How long and if they allow family members to go. I am pregnant and due shortly after we PCS back to the states from Korea so this is important to me that we are together. Any idea of when AIT starts or how often? My husband seems to have his heart set around 35L so it is important I learn some stuff. We are talking to someone from this MOS tomorrow but don't know if they will try to feed me BS since they are trying their hardest for us to fill out the packet before PCSing from South Korea. Anyone know how long it takes for this packet? From what I understand 90 days?!?
My husband is also currently an E4 from what we understand he can go to AIT as an E4 and will be promoted after / during... know anything on this??
Thank you for any help you have to offer.

Hello,

As a newly minted 35L, all I can say is that the course is roughly 4 months long. I put my packet through in less than 45 days with my 1st Sgt walking me through the process. And you need to be E4 promotable or E5 or higher to even get into the course. And if he is a E4P he will become E5 shortly after graduating from the course since, it is pretty much automatically promotions if you are a promotable E4 or E5. And all I say is to learn to type well since the job involves a lot of typing reports and attention to detail. I do not believe that they will pay for a PCS unless the course is 180 days or more.
