Seems this is one of the few Intel jobs that don't require a TS clearance. I have some debt, but anyways is this a good MOS? Where do they setup these Ground Station's in FOB or outside wire or both?

Well 35H is merging with my MOS 35G in 2010 so your Secret clearance will be bumped up to a TS. CGS are setup wherever since they are just a receiver to the intel.

I was just wondering if anyone knew if 35G and 35H are still merging and when. Also, do you know when a TS clearance will be required, as opposed to a secret clearance.
Thanks! Lorenzo |

From what I understand, the two MOS's will not actually be "merging". The plan is to incorporate 3 MOS into the same system. The new version of the CGS that is coming out will be operated by 2x35H, 2x35G, and 2x98C ( not sure of their new designator. I'm not positive about the drop-dead date for TS-SCI, but my national guard unit is already beginning to require TS-SCI for all members of our unit (including Supply, Admin, etc.) so I would plan on a TS asap.

I had 35H as one of my options from my recruiter, I had been hoping for 35F but this seems interesting as well. One question I had, does this MI job see more outside the wire work then other ones might when deployed? Also what kind of civilian jobs would there be since you would apparently have a TS clearance also. Thanks for any answers.

I enlisted Back in 2002 as a 96H currently 35H and then re-enlisted to reclass to a 96B currently 35 F. Both are decent jobs and can give you the same types of options. just remember that as the MI Creed says "I am a soldier first, but an intelligence professional second to none" so no matter your MOS you could go outside the wire. Good Luck
